MIDI, Arduino and the Molecule Synth
I’ve been thinking about this now and trying to decide how I’d use the MIDI on the molecule synth. It doesn’t really work in the way I’d expected, but nevertheless it’s still quite an interesting feature to play with.
My plan will be to use either Lemur or TouchOSC to control the module over MIDI, but the first choice is what kind of synth to load into the MIDI module?
Mozzi would be an obvious choice, but to start with I think I’ll go with the stuff that’s in the manual.
More Mozzi sounds
Sample sounds from an Arduino with no additional hardware running the Mozzi library.
Some more pictures of the Waveshapper project
I’m hoping to get some more time to finish this off soon.
My next soldering project is going to be …
And Arduino Wave Shield Kit. Which, I have to say is a little bit of a reach for me, but, I really think that making this and then using it will be a big step forward for me in terms of my Arduino experiments, which I really want to take into a more audio / musical direction. So this is, I think, the best way forward.
I’ll post shots of the board as I make progress on it.
Technology Will Save us: Getting Physical with tech
I went to this talk last night about physical tech. Lots of stuff about Arduinos and prototyping and 3D printing and all of that kind of stuff. I really enjoyed it, especially because the guy giving the talk was so enthusiastic.
The evening did a lot to re-energise me into thinking about making stuff and getting on with some projects, or just having some fun playing with tech.
